The PPC-6800 (XV-6800 when Verizon gets it out the door), or otherwise known as the HTC Mogul, is the much anticipated follow-on to the PPC-6700. Over the last several months, its launch date has moved all over the place, along with whether it would be a Windows Mobile 6 or Windows Mobile 5 device. Well, it is here at last, and packing Windows Mobile 6. This will be a review that I kick off today, and I will add to it over the next few weeks as I use the device more. I do intend for this to be my primary device, replacing what has been the coveted spot of my PPC-6600 up until about 4 weeks ago when I decided to get out and try a few other devices. The first observation I'll make is that the 6800 is a lot more refined than either the 6600 or 6700. The 6700, in my opinion, looked like they didn't have the budget to hire a creative designer... its basically a brick. THe 6600 at least has some style to it... more of a retro look. The 6800 has a very modern look, although its still thicker than a most new phones, its a step in the right direction. Most of the case is a bronze/grey color that is classy. Then it has a brushed aluminum frame around the LCD. The buttons also all integrate well, although they are a little tight for big fingers.

I ordered the 6800 yesterday online via the SprintPCS website. Sprint devices ship without being activated, so once I received it, I just needed to take it out of the box, charge it up, and call Sprint to have it activated. But first, what came in the box?
