sd memory card is not sdio on thera
the sd ccard slot on the thera is not an sdio(which means it supplies power) slot. it is merely an sd card reader slot. you can not use any sdio devices in it,only memory cards.

Re: sd memory card is not sdio on thera
Wrong! - You can use Toshiba's SDIO Bluetooth card because the slot uses Toshiba's proprietary SDIO interface, not the industry standard "SDIO Now" interface.Originally posted by KFCHEWJ

Would it be possible to bridge a connection between Windows XP and the bluetooth in the Thera?

Also noticed that the latitude and longitude that the advanced protocol statistics uses is not a normal formatting...
IE: Longitude 41:59:22 is not normal formatting. Must be some "fancy" format Verizon uses (I have the 2032 - Verizon edition)John "Exon" Pinkerton

Re: Re: sd memory card is not sdio on thera
I have been following this for sometime. Is their a third party comp that might resolve this? This is a "Bigtime" money maker to get this device truly wireless!Originally posted by bigbop

This might seem stupid, but you could use a Bluetooth Acess Point. I found a Bluetooth Acess Point on the net but couldnt find a price. What would be nice is a small wifi device, external of course, that would pair with the Toshiba BT card and translate the wifi stuff to BT. I klnow they make them but am unsure of the cost. Wifi uses LOTS of juice, so batteries wouldnt last long anyway..
Here's a link to the AP for anyone interested. Link.Last edited by ssego; 05-23-2005 at 12:12 AM.

the ONLY SD BT card that works is the Toshiba Bluetooth card. I've seen it on ebay for around 60 bucks.

You are venturing into territory that I have not personally been. I don't think there is anyway you're going to browse the web on your laptop using the Thera as a modem. What you need is some packet forwarding software for the thera.. like a NAT server or something. You will be able to connect to the LAPTOPS connection on the Thera through ActiveSync however. You can now sync wirelessly adn i think you could even connect to a BT phone to use it as a mdoem, even though you probably don't need to.

be carefull!
Be carefull!!! i tried the firmware upgrade from siawzen, it worked but it erased my phone settings, so i have to reprogram it. BUT it also changed my msl/spc (code to get into modem configuration) so i cant reprogram it until i get a reply from siawzen. i called sprint they gave me 2 msl/spcs that were the default for my phone but they didnt work, and ive tried 000000, nozirev, ##nozirev, 979797, etc. After ctrl-d, and ##debug, 979797 does unlock advanced menu, but i have no idea what the msl /spc code is to get into modem configuration after that. If anyone knows please message me!
update- i installed watcher for verizon wireless, even though i have sprint, -did the quick switch and was able to get into modem configuration by using nozirevpst and 979797, now im gonna try and program it, but its late and ill prob pass out.Last edited by ashim98; 11-21-2006 at 01:20 AM.
