    Just a couple bird portraits 05/09/2006

    Spent the evening out side relaxing with my 100-400L and 500L...figured I would share a couple of the shots...enjoy!

    Wow, 500mm is nice. It puts you right on top of those guys.

    You caught some remarkable shots... yet again. Even more remarkable considering how elusive these birds are.

    I love the blue bird in the third shot. It feels like I'm lying right on the grass next to him.

    I also like the black bird in the second to last shot. He's so close to the tree that it makes for kind of a busy background, but it looks so regal with the rich browns and greens that it works for me.
