Newbie help with Touch Pro 2

Hello everyone,
Kinda behind the times but just found out I could get the TP2 on Sprint without upgrading my plan (had the Treo 755P). Still working out some kinks here and some lingo issues. The phone is running WinMo 6.5 and I'm having a tough time finding and downloading good apps and I would like to erase many of the pre-installed apps but the don't show up in the list of apps that I can erase.

Can anyone tell me the best way to get apps, can I somehow download on home computer then sync to get the app or should i download straight to the phone from the browser.

How can I erase the pre-loaded apps (like sprint football and Nascar)?

What website do you go to for the best free/cheap programs?

When I go to microsoft website on my device it keeps telling me they detect an older version of Internet Explorer and they want me to upgrade to IE 8, can I do that on this phone?

Any other advice, tips, or tricks would be much appreciated.

There is a forum on the Tp2 full of people who know whuts up on this phone.

You can delete them if you are rooted (or if you have the app terminal installed) by typing "ipkg remove [appname]" this is the only way as far as I'm aware to get rid of the "sprint app" that is just a link to sprint's homepage, if that was one of the ones you were after.
