    Call Waiting Issues - i700

    Noah,

    I am still having call waiting issues with my i700 and PD. I've got 251 calls so far this month. My bill cycles on the 25th.

    Every time a call comes in via Call Waiting, the phone has trouble switching to the 2nd call, and when it DOES switch (meaning some times it doesn't) it just locks. I can finish the 2nd call (the one that set off call waiting), but I can't hang up. The phone can't respond to ANYTHING, and must be soft reset in order to recover.

    How goes the work into looking into this, and when will we see another update?

    Hi - sorry I missed this - I have been away from my development setup for several weeks. I have some ideas about how to deal with this issue -- expect an update within the next week or so to try and address the recalc performance issue with lots of entries and M2M filters.

    One nice thing is that since the major performance / stability mods have come out now for a while, the product seems to be getting more uptake -- positive feedback cycles are a good thing!

    I believe the 1.1.7 release (posted today, May 2) should substantially address the call waiting issues -- the sluggishness was caused by inefficient statistics recalculation that was happening on the first call while you were speaking on the second call -- the whole architecture for this has been changed, and now it should run very quickly.

    I used Chris' log files to test this on the i700, and recalc operations that took 15-30 seconds on Phone Dashboard 1.1.5, now take <1 second.

    Please let me know if you see the same thing.
