    photosuite transfer

I have a file from a link i posted for a video of the mp3 player the other day. I have taken this file which is 444kb and put it in photosuite and did the converstion process to get the file needed for transfer to the phone.

I have entered all the data needed and told it to transfer it to the external card.

I have a usb connection and started the hot sync. It has been transfering for 10 mins and still not completed.

I have a question regarding the transfer time needed to make the transfer using hotsync and also is there a way to save it to the sd card directly like you can mp3 in the /audio/ directory and then the mp3 player can find it.

I have a sd card reader built in to my laptop and the card works fine doing the audio that way.

I have read where several users have the Cruser and us it to put data on the sd card but this particular issue has not seemed to have been addressed.

    Help if you can

    STOPPED THE HOTSYNC

Ok here is what i found out so far....

    Got the 444kb file
did the converstion to palm file
file size when to 15.06 mb
Started the hotsync and it went for 50 mins before i stopped it.
Took the sd card out of my phone and put it in my computer.
The file appeared on the sd card but not fully.
I click on the palm file to set it up for hotsync again and it the hotsync list it showed up twice, once going to the sd card and once for the time i just click going to the palm.

So i concluded that the first hotsync didnt complete(obviously)
and the second i didnt allow to continue.

I erased it off the sd card in the /palm/launcher/ directory.

So, this really gets me nowhere but this is just what i have found out.

You can use your card reader to install ANY palm software on the card. It's as simple as placeing it in the appropriate directoer (i.e. audio or palmlauncher) the launcher directory is for apps. This method is *MUCH* faster than hotsync, this is not only a 7135 problem it affects all palms...
You should be 10% smarter than the equipment you operate. For some of you, the 7135 is not the best choice of equipment.

    ADDING FILE TO SD CARD

Ok if you have the correct directory stucture how do u get the file to convert from photosuite and not go to the hotsync applicaiton,

How can i just convert it to a folder on my hard drive and then put it on the sd card and then view it with photosuite?

You have to use Photosuite to convert it to a PDB first. Then it sticks it in your "Install" directory. Steal it from there and load it to the card seperatly.

WTF happened to make it 30x the size of the original file? From 444kb to 15MB?!?!?!?

    photosuite files

Ok I got the file to the sd card by making it and telling it to sync and then going to the install folder and pulling it out and putting it on the sd card. A hell of a lot faster than hotsyncing......

Now my question is why does it play so slowwwwwwwwww. It is like slow motion x 2......

Greg, Im convinced its something with THAT file. For me it was very chopy as well. I tried a bunch of other videos using the PS, kinoma and Teal player and they all worked fine except for your file. Unfortunatly I am just learning about video, it may have something to do with the various settings you used, bit rate etc. there are many others in this forum that could answer better then me. I also think something is up for the file to grow by 30X, very odd.
