7135 Owners: Which launcher works best?

I've had my 7135 for a couple days now....I'm anxious to install Launcher X...anyone have this on their 7135 and working well?

If not, anyone using another Launcher w/ their 7135?

I jam silver screen like a champ. Only thing is that Silverscreen categories suck. They are seperate from the Palm categories and don't get backed up....even with back up buddy.

A restore after hard reset or loss of data and you have to recreate the categories...

    SynC,

Does that mean you use it a lot and love it? Or that it locks up (jams) on you all the time? I'm seriously wondering.

Thanks in advance for the translation,

LauncherX works great on my 7135, and it has a file manager type feature that works like Windows Explorer. Much easier to use than Filez or the 7135 File Manager.

I like Megalauncher the best, i don't have a 7135, but it works well with external memory cards...
You should be 10% smarter than the equipment you operate. For some of you, the 7135 is not the best choice of equipment.

Well, I use LauncherX on my Visor Platinum. Mainly because of the MemPlug support and speed. LauncherX has really nice VFS-interoperability. MegaLauncher is nice, but categories can't have seperate displays. For a while I used GoBar. It sorta worked like Windows. Another popular one I want to try out when I get the 7135 is ZLauncher and that one with a weird name... whatever those are, but I adore LauncherX, so it'll be a tough switch.

    I have to ask

Ok, I can't be the only one here that is scratching their head, but...what is a launcher, and what is it used for?

It is a substitute for the regular Palm interface. I use LauncherX, which gives you a graphical interface to your programs. You can set up different tabs for different categories of programs. I also has a toolbar along the bottom of the screen, where you can access the trashcan, preferences, SD card info, etc.

I am very pleased with MegaLauncher.

Does anyone use a decent switcher-type product that works on the 7135

    alpineaudio,
I've read a lot about it and have looked at tons of really nice skins. But unfortunately most are for the Clies.

Let us know if you download it.

I've used Launch 'Em (www.synsolutions.com) for a while and am really happy with it. I used to use Silver Screen, but I like Launch 'Em a lot more.

Though it isn't as well known as the others, I have been trying out "Facer" and I actually like the PocketPC look of it (did I just say that out loud?!?)

You can check it out here...

    Customizeable Skins Rule!

Thanks for the info Markito....Facer is pretty cool. I really like the start-up page with your calendar appointments and to-do list right on it. The changeable skins are neat also--the Facer page that Markito posted has a couple of links to get additional skins as well as a theme creator so you can make your own. The only drawback that I see, and it is small, is that it has only one category tab...you have to select it twice to get to the app's you want if they are not in the current listing.

I demo'd LauncherX and looked at MegaLauncher, but just liked the look of Facer better. Overall, very nice. I used to have an SX-56 and it has the same Pocket PC feel to it (Never thought I'd use the words "pocket" and "feel" together in a serious statement).
