    Alltel QNC and "Web Unwired"

I signed up for "web unwired" through alltel and I can connect to the internet fine using QNC (no 1x in my area), but now I am wondering...

Do I need "web unwired" for data transmissions, or will my normal minutes cover that on Alltel? I know I sound clueless, but... I am!

If all I get for my "web unwired" fee is their pseudo-aol internet directory, then...

(and I REALLY did use the search function before posting, HotSync, I PROMISE!!!)

    Thanks,

    web unwired

you dont have to have web unwired unless u want to use the WAP browser.

Data using the QNC is just package minutes.

When you get 1x then u have to pay for additional time/data transmission, but until then use the qnc and package minutes.

    Thanks Greg!

One thing though... is the WAP browser the "EIS" browser, or the one with the swirly symbol that says "browser"?

    Thanks again,
    Jim

The "Browser" (OpenWave) is the WAP browser. EIS is a normal HTML, etc. browser.
