    Help - No Web connection on new 7135

    Hi,

    Just purchased a new 7135 from Alltel. Phone service works fine, but
    internet access fails. Whenever I try to connect I get the
    following error:

    ErrorPP timeout(0x1231)

    It starts to go through the process then stops on the "signing on" screen for about a minute before I get the error

    Alltel store had no clue, and they do not have an activated phone to
    compare settings with. 1-800 tech support # perplexed as well. They
    stated that they should all just work out of the box, and would have
    to research a solution for me. They said everything network wise
    seems like it is set up correctly.

    I tried a few things I saw suggested here (reset, etc..) but still no luck.


    SW Version is: SZ 1.0.13 MZ1.0.27

    Not sure if it matters, but I had a Startac with web-unwired prior to
    the 7135, the just xferred the account to the new phone.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

    I am not sure about the user name and password for the qnc settings on Alltels network. If you are trying to use WAP (the Browser App in the phone applications) which I believe is what Alltel calls Web Unwired, I belive you still need to configure the QNC connection, so at least for the script settings, follow the FAQ because they will be wrong out of the box.

    The Wap gateway information should be correct out of the box for AllTel though.

    GREAT- THANKS!!!! I don't know how I missed that in the search, but it worked.

    Too bad Alltel does not have this info internally - 3+ hours screwing with them today with no luck. 15 Mins here, and I am in business.
