    Downloading files through 7135

I am interested in finding out if there is a way of downloading programs from the internet directly into the 7135 ? I have HandZipper that takes care of zipiing and un zipping of files. So what is left is a browser or tool that can handle downloading the files from sites like palmgear. I have tried Blazer, EIS Web Beta and the one that came with the 7135 and none of them work. Any help would be great!

    Thanks.

I could swear I just read a simmilar post just the other day... I think the program that does downloads is called: Lget

Try searching for LGet and I think you'll find what your looking for.

I tried LGet and it didn't work, I tried to download a zip file and all it did was create a text file out of it and it copied it into my palm. I had to use file manager to get rid of the file.

    Thank you for your help.

    Zip files huh.. hmmm

Sounds Lget did what it was supposed to do, and downloaded but just doesnt know how to handle ZIP files....

This solution is getting kinda messy but maybe you could try using PalmHandZipper to unzip the file once you have it.

It says it can unzip files on SD cards so you might have to move the file to the card before trying this.

I also seem to recall reading that TealAgent could handle zip files...might be worth looking into.

Well that was fast (I love google) -- Tealagent can handle zip files but its a PC based solution NOT a palm App.

    Download and install applications directly

PalmGear used to provide a pqa and companion app that allowed you to search, download, and install palm applications directly over the network from the phone. For some reason, they seem to have discontinued that. Does anyone know of a good program to do this? Hopefully some day this will be the standard way to install apps. There is no reason to have to hotsync.

    xiino w/ palmhandzipper

xiino browser used w/ palmhandzipper works flawlessly for me. BTW I've read negative reviews @ xiino but I find it to be faster w/ better page rendering than Blazer or Pocketlink and way better than EIS Web. It also installs the unzipped .pdb/.prc it downloads all by itself.
