Brightness & Contrast in the graffiti area - problems

Let me start by apologizing, but i did a search and could not find this issue with anyone else.

I just got my 7135 yesterday, and have already tricked it out!

I am noticing that when i try to tap on the Brightness or Contrast symbols in the graffiti area, it does not respond. I usually resort to going into the Prefs... menu to make the adjustments.

Anyone else out there having this problem?

    otherwise, everything else is AWESOME!

Hm. You haven't by chance installed Energy Dimmer, have you? Or any other hacks that play with brightness or contrast?

Have you tried just recalibrating your digitizer? (PDAPrefs | Digitizer)

I just posted about the same problem... Either it just started with me or I just noticed it.

It did come up in the search I did. It seems another member had the same problem a while back. I emailed him to see how he resolved it and I'll post the response, if it's resolved at all...

RecoEcho disables the brightness & contrast controls in the graffiti area... if you got it, disable it.

The only thing i'm running that messes with the graffiti area is Jot 2.0, otherwise, i'm not running any other hacks or bright/contrast control app. ilike having those 2 little icons available, right where they are.

    strange....

    Jot Here, Too

Having the same problem here and I also use Jot. That may be the culprit.

Well, i guess the only thing to do is disable jot and check it out. but honestly, i rely on Jot alot more than i adjust the brightness and contrast.

I'll let everyone know the results.

You could always use the EasyLaunch hack to let you do a quick stroke to bring you straight to General Prefs so you can change the contrast/brightness.

I wonder if HBX will conflict with Easylaunch. HBX can bring you to pda prefs, but not to a particular menu within it. Unless I'm mistaken...
