    charging the phone

did I mess up by not using the synch cradle to charge the phone the first time? i simply used the travel charger directly to the phone.

right, should not be a problem.

the travel charger (as long as its OEM) will charge the battery just fine.

if the things not connected to a computer, using the synch cradle with the charger pluged into it won't hurt things will it?

Charging it through the cradle or directly with the travel charger is basically the same thing. It's a convenience design. You can just drop your phone into the cradle or if you travel, just take the travel charger, that way you don't have to buy an extra charger.

There has been some discussion that charging the battery in the battery slot on the cradle gives a more complete charge then when charging through the phone. I have not done any emprirical testing to see if that is true or not. Obviously, you would only want to do that after the initial charge if you have a spare battery.
