Please explain the procedure that you are using to do the downloads. Maybe we can point out where it's going wrong.

from the 7135 files section of this site I download a zip file to my desktop (ex. Bell.mp3.pdb)...open zip file which brings up "install tool"...follow procedure, hotsync and receive the following notice: Invalid handheld file deleted: CalmAchterMInstallBell.mp3.pdb

Maybe the file is actually corrupt. Have you tried other files?

If you have an SD card and reader try transfering the file to your palm that way.
    1) copy file to SD card from computer
    2) Use FileZ to copy file from SD card to Palm RAM
    3) Don't forget to soft reset the palm so the ringers are seen.

Perhaps this will help you determine if the file is bad or your there is a problem with your hotsync.

depending on the browser you are using, you can't just download a file from this site, you might have to right click and "save as", or the equivalent in your browser.

then go through the procedure you described
