    HELP! battery swap won't sync

    Hi,

    Tried swapping batteries and it erased all my data. Thought I could restore everything by HotSync-ing, but now I'm getting an error saying that the port is in use by another app where it's the same setup I was using before.

    Any ideas?

    I managed to solve the problem. I noticed there were many threads about the problems caused when switching batteries. Since this was the initial cause of my problem I thought I would try one of those. So I took the battery out for a minute, put it back in, and then HotSync worked.

    Looks like I shouldn't do anything with my Kyocera without first consulting this forum.

    You should plug your 7135 into a power source (travel/car charger or powered cradle) for a few hours every so often. That's the only way the internal backup power source (used when swapping batteries) gets charged up. Or plug in your 7135 while swapping the battery.
