    trouble with ringer maker

    after creating an mp3 ringer using the ringer maker and then hot syncing, i get an error message in the sync log that says 'invalid handheld file deleted'..then the name of the song. why cant i get any of my songs to download to the phone?

    Ringer name might be too long. I think its max of 8 chars but if that doesn't work try less chars.

    tried it, and read through the entire other thread on this issue. seems no one has come up with a soultion yet.

    Make sure the file is 8 characters long BEFORE you create the ringtone... truncating the name after creating the ringtone does not change the header information that is added when the ringtone is created.
