    Backlight button doesn't work?

Hi, I am a new and happy to find this forum. I bought a used 7135 for Verizon. I just found the BACKLIGHT button doesn't work. There is No response when I press and hold on it anytime. Even when I tried to take a hardrest, it is not allowed since this KEY didnot give any reponse. I wonder if this caused by physical damage or software litmited. Anybody give some comments?
    Thanks.

There is a possiblility that the button's contacts are clogged with dirt and other grime. A smiliar issue has been reported with the zero key (search for zero key). Both buttons are close to the plug at the bottom of the phone were it is likely that dirt gets in. If you're brave you can try dissassembling your phone (its not that hard, you just need a #6 torx) and clean the button's contacts.
Luck is where opportunity meets preparation.

I disassembled and cleaned it. So it might be the physical circuit problem or a bug
