    nope.

    which icon(s)?

had the phone since like the first week and ONE time when a Beta app I was fiddling with crashed and forced a reboot it had placeholders for some icons when it came back up. a normal reboot quickly corrected that. (I've seen other reports of that happening)

I have had this happen multiple times. I cannot figure out what prompts it. To get any icons back on any of the 3 home screens, I have to shutdown and restart.

what apps do you 2 have that are always on? Maybe there's one you both use and you can see if disabling it fixes things?

Task Killer is pretty much the only thing that always runs.

I had this going on for a long time on my Droid. I did a factory reset and it has not happened again. I would guess that something I installed left some rogue code behind that caused the problem.
