Palm OS 5: Switch off the phone unit?

    Hello everybody,

first I have to admit I am still a dual-device user (Clie + Nokia phone) and have been waiting for a decent Palm-powered phone for quite some time now. The Treo 650 (or whatever the name is going to be) just seems to meet my needs...

Anyway, as I have not been using a smartphone so far: Can it be actually operated with the phone unit being switched off? There are places where you are not allowed to operate the phone (airplanes) and I would still like to use the PDA part of it...

    Thanks for any advice.

You should be able to switch off the phone part on all PDA/phone convergence devices. If not, then I'd look for a different device. I can on my Kyocera 7135 (PalmOS 4.1.2).
