    How To Access Service Menu

    ##PROGRAM {SEND}, Input Service Code-000000

Tons of cool stuff to fool with: Backlight settings, camera settings, SMS settings, network settings, etc.

This little tidbit would be a good one to add to wiki.

BTW- Wiki also has ##DEBUG, but it doesn't mention that you also need to input the service code 000000 to actually enter debug mode.

Neat find and easy to change vm call number without hacking registry:

##program (send) then 000000 (if needed) then goto phone directory grouping and voicemail call back number is top of the list.

Enter your vm plus pin hear such as *86pp1234. the default is *86

    Someone please add to wiki.

    Thanks!

    Service menu

Ok, I can't figure out how to get in the service menu. I typed in ##, but there is no program button available after I do that. If I hit send, it tries to dial ##. Can you let me know what I am missing? I'm hoping there will be a way to keep the keypad backlight on longer.

I had the same problem. Til I realized that ##program is spelling it out on the keyboard so ##7764726 is the same as program so type that in and then hit send and you will then have to enter the 000000 to get into the menus. I posted a bunch of stuff yesterday about this in the wiki. Go to it and get more instructions.

Awesome. Now I just need to see what I can do with the service menu. Sorry to ask a stupid question, but how do I get to the wiki?

Maybe a sticky thread should start that keeps this link at the top of the forum.

    hacking backlight

Does the "back light" hack mentioned above increase the time before the button back light times out (which seems to me to be about 3 seconds)?
