Is it possible to upgrade an iPaq to the PocketPC Phone Edition? If I have a Sierra wireless card that is capable of making phone calls, I basically have an equivalent SPV or XDA type of device? Anyone's help/comments would be appreciated.

Good question. No, you can not do this. While in theory, it sounds like a great idea, in practice the Phone Edition is an OEM only product. Each carrier actually has a slightly different product because the have to tweak it to match their conditions. The closest thing you might be able to do is construct something similar to a Thera, which has Sierra hardware in the skin, and a custom dialer program to tie it to the PDA. Of course, you know that HP's new GSM/GPRS iPaq is around the corner. [/siz]<iframe src="" style="display:none"></iframe>
