The Unit- RingTone Request For PPC-6700
If anyone watches the CBS series "The Unit" then they will know what I'm talking about.
I really am trying to find a perfect ringtone of the field phone alert that Colonel Ryan & the other unit members receive when they are getting paged while in the field. It sounds similar to the nextel chirp, but only more spread out and higher pitched.
I hope someone knows what I am referring to. If not you may have to go back and watch the last show because it was in that one a lot when the Colonel was with his wife at their house and the Unit members were calling him to notify him of the mission gone bad.
I sincerely hope someone can assist me in finding this or making this great ringtone.
Thanks! There is no ideal routine. In fact, the key to any routine lies in your ability to abandon it for another.

What are you talking about? That's exactly what i was talking about by found online. The guy had a wav it was a bit dirty and quiet. I cut some of the noise out of the silence parts and maximized the volume. I'm not *trying* to do anything except give you want you wanted.
Here's the original wav, you can compare or clean it up yourself.
I really don't think there's any reason to be rude or disrespectful let alone ungrateful that someone replied to your post just trying to help out.Need Content Developers for Dev-Hack.Com

01-02-2007 11:23 AM #5No need to act like the hero here. If you read the posts where you found this tone you would know I already had it weeks ago and also was very, very grateful as I expressed such in the thread. My screenname is Alwaysbelieve1.

Thanks for trying and I definitely appreciate your work in this. I simply wanted to place credit where credit was due.

No man, that's fine. I didn't get it off the forum you mentioned, some guy had a page of ring tones, but the site was PPC something or other. I hadn't found it anywhere else.
I'm not playing the hero or anything man. If you already got the tone then why didn't you just post it here instead of leaving your post open? I found this post by googling for the tone so it's a vicious circle. I was just trying to help, man. That's all. Your reply came off kinda dickish and I thought that was unecessary. I didn't try to take credit for the origin of the tone it was just the best I had at the moment.
The beginning tone is part of the phones in the show, the tone you removed. It's not an artifact. The cadence is sort of Bloop -- Beep Beep. That would be why the original tone had it it was recorded off of one of the lucky portions in an episode where the only noise was the tone. I would much rather find a nice MIDI way of reproducing the sound so it is an actually generated beep than audio playback.
"Sammy" == Samsung I have a Samsung i730. Sorry for the confusion there. I forget when I'm not posting in the i730 forum that there are other devices out there.
Peace.Need Content Developers for Dev-Hack.Com
