    Post PPC-6600 / PPC-6601 / XV6600 Backup Battery Fix

I have had my PPC 6600 since 2005, back when sprint had the red box logo. the backup battery died on it and i haven't been using it, i been thinking about buying one from ebay to get the battery out of but decided im not going to pay 50.00 for a used 6600 when i can get a mogul. but my wife wont like that, so after taking the battery out and i found that its really just a button cell you can buy online. i considered buying the button cell and doing some soldering but then i found a site that sells the exact battery i needed. with the pigtail and the cell is wrapped in plastic.

Turns out the IPaQ 1900 Series PDAs use the exact same button cell and pig tail. its the replacement backup battery fits all 19xx models

i found a guy in austin Tx that sells them here:
    iPaq 19xx Backup Battery

    iPaq 19xx Backup Battery

Just fixed my ppc 6600 about 5 mins ago, powered it up and now im getting a charge, battery even came at 75%,

I pulled apart the original backup battery and i found a varta v18hrt, 1.2V 18mAh, The iPaq battery is a V20HRT 1.2V 20mAh so the voltage is right and it has a extra 8-9% charge

I just thought i would post this some where because i know there might be some one out there searching for this information desperatly.
