OK, so why isn't this an Audiovox?

Here's something that's baffled me... the PPC 4100 and PPC 5050 are branded as Audiovox. The charger for the 6601 has Audiovox stamped on it. I wonder why they didn't go ahead and brand this as Audiovox also... seems odd.

I'd love to understand the logic of how they end up naming these things. The biggest bone-headed name was the original T-Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition.... no model number or anything short to call it... you had to say that whole thing to properly name it.

What I find interesting is that the Audiovox website makes no mention at all of the device. I went there looking for a user manual for the 6601.

That makes sense. It isn't an Audiovox device...

audiovox is a seller of mobile phones. they are probably the north american distributer of this phone only. they did not make it so thats why their name is not on it..
