Adapter to use any headset with PPC6601

Well for some stupid reason the pinout on the PPC6601 is propietary, which means that any 2.5mm 3 ring plug will NOT work. I just bought an adapter from Pocketpctechs that will allow you to use any 2.5mm 3 ring AND also allow use of 3.5mm headsets/headphones. Will report back with results, but thought you guys might like to know.

    That's odd...

    From the sprint web site:

2.5mm Universal Jack Accommodates most standard headsets for hands-free operation.

Odd. At the very least the adapter I ordered will allow me to use my 3.5mm. headphones.

I have two different Jabra head sets that both work fine. The included one also works well, you can use either ear for phone calls and the button is handy.

I think that you picked two devices that use proprietary headsets... try a generic one and you will probably be fine.

Ack, so its my headsets that are the problem. Well what I initially wanted to accomplish was to use my 3.5mm headphones with my PPC anyhow.
