    Weird Beeping

I just used the 6601 for a long call about 20 mins. with my brother. Throughout the call I had an annoying beep every 2-3 seconds over and over. My brother said he didn't hear it, it was only on my side. I looked and saw no indication of anytype of warning or notification on the phone. Any idea what could be causing this? I am trying hard as I can to like the 6601 but these looks quirks are real annoying.

If you're using a wireless BT headset, its low on batteries.

I would agree with you if you were right, but the Palm OS is crap.

I wasn't using BT. I'm hoping it was just a bad connection. Hasn't done it since then.

    Data connection up?

I've heard some posts where people seem to have data connections up, and there's the theory going around that the beeping is related to some programs on the PPC trying to connect during the call.

I've not witnessed this myself.. and tend to kill 'network linking programs after I use them.. 'cause I'd like to actually get incoming calls.

I don't know if this is true myself...

You may dig around more on the forums here. (or in sprintpcsusers.com)

This may have been the case. I could have had IE or email running. Thanks.

The beeping is in sync with the flashing green LED on my phone. I htink there may be some battery interference there. i Use a shure earpiece and every little glitch is picked up (a good and bad thing.)

Does it beep every minute? If it does, I think your PPC-6601 has a timer that warns you that one minute of call time is up. I think there is a way you can disable it.
