    1GB SD Card Issues

I have a 1GB Simple Tech card which loses connectivity (volume unmounts) when I try to access it more than twice. I have to remove it than insert again or perform a soft reset.

Does anyone have this card or another brand 1GB card they can recommend?

I have a 1gb Lexar one and have not had a problem. I have not used it a ton either. But zero problems.

Note there are a few lexar ones and I think I got the fastest one they had.

I second that. I have a 1GB Lexar 32x card and have not had a single problem with it. Granted, I am still using a G1000, but if it works in the G it should definately work in the PPC-6601 (newer OS).

I read somewhere that keeping the card in the unit uses battery? I doubt there is any truth to this

1gb kingmax card ($69 from newegg) works like a charm over here. If you're having volume unmounts, get pocketmechanic and format your card to FAT16.

I would agree with you if you were right, but the Palm OS is crap.
