    Calculator

For a while there, I thought the PPC just didn't provide one built-in since it is not showing up on my "Programs" screen with the rest of the built-in apps.

I looked around using File Explorer and found it and it is kind of limited.

    1. Does anyone know how to add it to my Programs screen as shortcut?

    2. What is a recommended multi-function one under $20 like "Parens" which is the default on the Treo? That calculator has basic math, weight/temp/length/area/volume conversions, logic, statistics, and logic.

(Now I'm wondering what other programs are lurking on my system with no shortcut.)

If you can work with RPN, then I hihgly recommend Calcnow. You also can't beat the price, FREE!

Calculator will start by using start->programs. It is not hidden, but it is not a screen icon either.

I know how to assign a hard button to start the calculator application, or add the calculator to the quick program menu, but not how to add it as a screen shortcut or icon.

I use My Coverter Pro, and Power One calculator programs. They are both great, each in its own way.

Yes, I attached it to the quick program menu. That'll work.

The VZW documentation that you access online via the CD ROM shows it as an icon though -- right next to the "calendar". I'm glad I'm not the only one without it showing up. I could see calling VZW and ending up doing a hard reset for no reason.

There were other anomalies in the documentation too. I think it is because the manual is for the camera version.

I'll check out Power One to test with the ones I've already downloaded:
    SciCalc 2.2 & Pocket 12C
    iPhone 4S BB8830/Treo700wx/Treo700w/ XV6600/Treo600/Kyo7135

This is great. The rpn reminds me of my old hp48sx. Now if I could get it to do integrals.

    Thanks!
