    Sprint PPC 6600 is out!

True to their word, Sprint Business Telesales called me this morning (actually on the phone now) to let me know the 6600 is available and to take my order.

I hope to have the phone in my grubby little hands tomorrow.

I will let everyone know if it actually arrives!

    - Edit -
Oh yeh, I'll let everyone know what ROM and BT versions are installed!

Did anyone get any of the $150.00 + $126.00 discounts that are currently advertised for the 6601?
Just switched from PPC6700 to AT&T Tilt.

I did choose to add a new line to get the instant discount (vs mail in rebate) and the 20% sales price. But since my current 2 lines are not under contract, I plan to cancel one of those

Otherwise, I would have only received a mail in $150 rebate to upgrade my current phone (which is over 18 months old)

Unfortunately, I am currently under contract, so I had to opt for $150 the mail in rebate. Also, I don't have a TAX ID to get the 20% discount. So I paid $674 after taxes.

I forget the exact price since I just had it billed to my account, but they also included sales tax. But that sounds about right.

Holy Cow! I've just been to hell! Transferred to 5 different people to get this phone and the 150 rebate.
They kept telling me that I was eligible in September, which was supposed to be April according to their site. They also had on my account that I had returned and replaced a phone. Which I never did!
After talking to everyone I am finally getting it. My head is spinning. If I have to tell my whole life story with cell phones one more time I'm going to implode.
Well, I'm finally comin from the G to the 6600, and with one big headache!

    PPC6600 just released from Sprint!!!

    Hello everyone,

I had called (like everyone else) in December and spoke to a Sprint sales rep named Jeremy. I told him as soon as the 6600 was available to give me a call and I would order one and put his name on this list.

Much to my delight, Jeremy just called and I've ordered my 6600 from Sprint to be delivered on Friday (I do have an order number, but not a tracking number).

To contact Jeremy call (800) 413-0332. If Jeremy is not in you will reach his boss' (Carly) voicemail. Just leave your first name, number and tell him you are interested in the 6600. He is in until 10 cst and will call you back fairly quickly.

If you have any questions shoot me a message and I will try to answer them.

    Marc,
I ordered finally from telesales at 800-480-4727. Also I called back and I'm not taking the $150 rebate (those b**tards). In order to get it I have to up my plan. Right now I have $30 for 300 anytime, unl. nights and wkends starting at 8 pm. I'd have to give up the 8 o'clock, pay 5 bucks more for the same amount of minutes. Told her it wasn't worth the 150 and told them to keep it!

Was he able to get you the $150 off + 20% off = $276 discount so the phone would come out be $353.99 (+tax)?

Did you try sprintpcs's retention? Search on sprintusers for the toll free number. I was offered 1000 Anytime, Unlimited night&Wknds @8pm, unlimited PCS-PCS, unlimited SMS for $40. If you can't find retention's number, try business CS and ask for this $40 plan.

I was able to get the $150 off, because it had been over 18 months since my last phone. I tried to get the 20%, but it didn't work out. Something about a tax id number?

alright.. i just spoke with dave in biz sales. he stated i can no longer have a phone aplied to my account. not because of my rating at sprint which is a 21, but because its not a 30. he went on to say due to frauds they no longer allow ordinary folks apply a high dollar phone to their account. i need to have a account with atleast 30 phones (bascially a major corporation) on it to be qualified to have phones applied to my account.

this rule went into place in tha last year or so...

    straight BS!!!!!!

how many of you have applied your phone to you account?

I don't think the phone was supposed to be applied to my account, but I know my credit was. After ordering I went to my Sprint site and sure enough they applied my credit card payment toward my account. Figure that one out...
