Question BT headaches with ActiveSync & CDMA dialer

I had wmodem/ USB dialer working great with BT. It was flawless.

Never could get ActiveSync to work with BT. I read here on the forum about deleting the com settings and reinstalling.

Well that worked, sort-of. ActiveSync now works sporatically. What settings do I need on my PC and PPC for AS and BT.

Also, dialer does not work anymore. Shows "no modem". How do I get the modem to show up again. It used to show on BT and two USB modems.

I have messed with all the settings and may have caused my own problems.

Any ideas on where to start?

    TIA

Microsoft doc says ActivSync needs Com port 9 as incoming port and Com port 8 as outgoing. You can force this in device manager on the PC.

Sometimes, for example if you disconnect your bluetooth adaptor on the PC it will use Ports 8 and 9 for something else. You have to reset this

I try to cover some of these issues in the FAQ. It is a PITA. XV6600 and PPC6601 are slightly different though.

Ok, I have the incoming set to 9 and the outgoing to 8. No luck.
