VX6600 - incoming call ringer is only heard from the speaker, not the headset

Is this how it is suppose to be? On my imate pocket pc phone, you can hear the ring tone on the speaker and the headset.

    Thanks.

My Kyocera 7135 rang through the headset even when the phone was on vibrate. A double plus IMO. I miss that also.

    Hmmmm....

...all of my BT headsets rang, Jabra BT250, MH8120, and my current Bluespoon AX. The headset does ring a few seconds after the handset.

Unless I am missing the question....

Are you referring to a headset or headphones? If you are talking about headsets, it should ring in the headset. If you are talking about headphones with MediaPlayer going at the time of the call comming in, the phone will not ring. This is a carrier setting and for whatever reason Verizon has decided that it should not ring if you are listening to music. I use Pocket Music instead of Media Player and this does ring when you have music playing and a call comes in.

I am talking about the stereo headphones that came with the phone.

I am not playing any music on Pocket Player (my MP3 player).

I think you're asking is the same ring tone that is set on your phone also supposed to play in the the earbuds????

If so...don't know. Just trying to clarify the question. On the HS810, the ringtone does not play in the headset. It just beeps. Would imagine it's the same for other BT headsets.

I just tried what I think you are asking, that is, with the supplied headphones that come with the unit, should it ring in the headphones if for some reason you had them on without listening to music? The answer is no, and again I believe this is a carrier selected option. On my SX-56 it would ring when a call came in. On the XV-6600 the phone rings on the unit only, not in the headphones.

On my Sprint PPC6601, using a ppctechs audio adapter, it rings on both the speaker and the 3.5 mm headphones jack, and the 2.5 mm earphone jack. So on the sprint device anyway, it rings both the internal speaker and the jack (when occupied)
