    Battery indicator for home screen

Can anyone recommend a good tool (or set of tools) that will allow me to put a battery indicator on the home screen? IMO, its the thing i dislike the most is having to turn on the "phone" in order to find out how much batter life I have left.

    Thanks.

I have been using Power Level III from Scarybear for my past three or four Pocket PC's (including the 6600,) and I love it.

SPB Pocket Plus has a couple of ways to do it. You can have an icon and a meter on the Today screen, or you can have a very cool, very thin bar graph that represents battery power just at the very top of the screen. Or, of course, you can have both.

The program does a few other beneficial things as well. Very good addition to the PPC.

    best battery indicator for 6600

I'm looking for a standalone small freeware program that tells what percentage or how much battery is left. I used to have one for the today screen, but cannot find it. Any would work well, either on today screen or in menu bar.

I dont want to use spb with all the bloat it installs.

    Thanks

Pocketgear has one that is a bar across the top, similar to PPlus. It shows 2 lines at the top, one for battery, one for memory. Haven't tried it as I'm using PPlus. I think you can find it in new items because it appeared there a couple days ago.
    It's made by PGear.

Other than the phone not rining/vibrating/alerting through when its loaded. wisbar has been working out great for me. Much better than the omega battery bar with the little task bar.

I have none of those problems with Wisbar or PPlus. Make sure you have the latest Beta from WisBar.

I don't have it at this point. Deleted after install. Hopefully their site will be back soon!

Here you go... it's a CAB file so you'll need to copy it onto your 6600 and execute it from there to install.

P.S. Signal strength doesn't work with it.

Freeware program. Haven't used it myself.
I thought I'd try it - and this is the first program I've loaded that forced me into a hard reset. I wasn't crazy about the way it looked, so I tried to uninstall it and my PDA just froze. So happy I always run Sprite before I install unknown software! All is well now. - sheureka
