    Cleanup tool?

I've tried to search for all kinds of phrases but couldn't find the thread...

Anybody know the pointer for some freeware application that cleans up old events orrrr... something else that slows down my 6600 over time?

I love how this thing runs after a fresh hard reboot, but over time it slows down...

    Thanks,
    Byron

So MrHappy, I see that the sprint upgrade's ROM version is 1.36, Radio version is different (HA00_140 vs HA01_40). What is your BT verson? (XV6600 with upgrade is 1.0.0, build 3500)

cleanup junk files, utility - needed?

i am a newbie when it comes to the pocket pc operating system....since it is a microsoft product, i have to assume that the system will slow down due to garbage file creation.

    is there a suggested application that will;
    1. clean up garbage files
    2. clean up temp files from internet explorer.

    aside...
    a. how do you clean form history in internet explorer?

    thanks for your time.

    Open PIE
    Click Tools, Options, Memory.
Click clear history and delete files to clear out the memory and temporary files.
You can also click security and clear the cookies as well.

A program called SK Tools can also clear out bad uninstalls, duplicate files, empty folders, etc... But use it at your own risk! Once in a while I clear out too much stuff and I will have to reinstall a program now and then!

whoa, thread moved (email notification showed invalid link)....

    Thank you for your response.
I did do text search, and I did come up with this thread.

    Question regarding SKtools (SK Tools)...
will it also take care of this check notification?

    Thanks again

    Sorry, not quite following you...

But if you are asking if SK Tools takes care of the check notifications fix....no.

Plus, the author of check notifications says it's no longer necessary on WM2003SE. Or I should say, the original slowness issues that check notifications was written to solve were fixed in WM2003SE... maybe other problems have cropped up though.
