Ring volume unaffected by system volume?

    All,

Sorry if this is old news. Mod, pls delete if so.

On my PPC-6600, I noted that the ring volume is completely unaffected by the system volume. If I set the volume to min or max, the ring volume is exactly the same. This is not the case if I play the ringer through media player, etc.

Any ideas besides amplifying conent to resolve this, like a registry mod?

System Volume is PDA Sounds. The Ringer is the right slider when you tap the volume icon and are NOT in a call.

The default rings are relatively quiet. This is one of the biggest issues, IMO, with these phones, but there are workarounds.

    Dude, that is sweet.

I am such a dumbass. I thought that was the in-call volume, but now I see it is not. The icons are different, too.

You are the man, what a difference.

How did people live without forums in the old days?

I think it controls the in-call volume while you're actually in a call (though it's easier to use the volume up/down control button to change it).
