    Sprint PPC6600 Maintenance Release Available

There is now a maintenance release available from Audiovox for the PPC6600 from Sprint.

    http://www.audiovox.com/webapp/wcs/s...ductId=&brand=

Hopefully this will solve the bluetooth problems. I really need to have a headset that works!

    Try them out and see.

Unfortuantely, the documentation does not say what the update provides or fixes.

That is what I am in the process of doing...

What does it do? If someone has done the update, could you let us know exactly what it does?
    Thanks

It's the same rev of the update previously released for the 6601, the XV6600, and the Harrier. Updates bt stack to 3500. See the notes about the harrier upgrade on my web page.

It's taking forever to download. When it is done I'll put it up on www.myehud.com/xv6600

I already put a link for it... but the download won't complete for another 5 minutes.

But the Sprint PPC 6600 shipped with 3500 on it.

Is this another version of it.

Step 3 of the 20 min process. I am waiting to find out.

Well, I haven't done the upgrade and that is exactly what I have on my PPC-6600 out of the box.

I think to check the bluetooth info you simply:

    Click on the bluetooth icon
    Go to bluetooth settings
    Go to the about tab

Holy cow - this thing is 40MB!!! The other ones were 24 (6601), 25(TNZ) and 26(XV6600).

I'd love to know what's in this one...

    Edit:
It is up on http://www.myehud.com/xv6600 .

nk.nbf is 32,769KB. Is this not the entire sum of the extended rom and the saved storage?

Any of you ERK people out there able to unpack it?

Mine has that too, so if that's all it does, then no need.

    Under Bluetooth Settings
    About
    Advanced

    I have the module versions:

    All files are version 1.0.0.3500
    except: BtCeStack.dll which is 1.0.0.3601

Is this a change? Can anyone who has not upgraded check

The camera says version 2.13 Build 17947

This must be the patch that enables EVDO.

BTW, I can confirm on an unpatched system that I have the same camera and BT version as what you mentioned on the above patched system.

    What about the file :

    BtCeStack.dll which is 1.0.0.3601

Is that the same on the un upgraded version?

    Also interesting:

In the instructions in the images it shows Radio Image Version HA01_140.

But when it updates you get HA00_140

Did someone forget to put someting in the installer??

StaciO's husband talked to a tech who said an in-store reROM for the PPC6600 fixed some camera issues... but I haven't tried the one listed here or any in-store ROM upgrade.

Pardon my newbie ignorance, but how do I find the dll file you mentioned? My About screen says I have BT-PPC/PE Version 1.0.0 Build 3500.
