Very bad day for my 6600

I pulled my 6600 out of his cradle this morning, and there was a small crack on the bottom part of the screen. it goes right between the bluetooth and verison wireless sync icons and ends by the bottom scroll bar. I didn't drop it. Do the screens usually crack by themselves? Is this covered by warrenty? Any advice?
It lives in a Piel frama case, well covered.

This afternoon the belt clip for that case cracked as I sat down. anyway to just buy the clip? It's a rather expensive case to replace.

A depressing day in PPC land.

    thanks.

No, the screens don't crack by themselves, and yes it should be covered. If the unit is still within the 14-30 days refund period you casn exchange it. If it's more tha 30 days, and since you're with Sprint did you elect to have the $5 lockine total equipment protection?

My mistake. Now both Sprint and Verizon have 6600, one with PPC and one with XV. But if your unit is under 30 days you can still exchange it.

There was another user who had a screen crack for no apparent reason.

Do you have VZW total equipment coverage? IMO it is worth it for these expensive (and fragile) devices.

NOTE TO SELF: Do not let richie111 borrow phone (or anything else for that matter).
