    i have this 6600 for less than a week and out of memory already???? whats the deal

    i wonder why i am out of memory. what usually takes up a lot of memory. both my storage and program memory is gone. how can i see what stuff is taking up how much space. is there a ist like on my treo 650 had.
    also, can i move programs etc to my sd card. thats the only way i igure to free up space. i cant imaging this happening. it has 128 mb of memory right?
    my stupid treo had so much less and i never ran into this problem, and i had the treo a while.
    any advice please

    A recording.

    Check for a large recording.

    Then change your buttons to be locked

    128 is correct. How many programs did you install? Media or movies?

    See if it changes after a soft reset. Unless you use a 3rd party program like SPB Pocket Plus, Battery Bar, or the like, programs don't really "close". They are just minimized, and still count against your allocated memory. Your ppc automatically changes its allocation based on what is available, and eventually will run out.

    By the way, did you install Journal Bar?

    i have adobe 2.0 installed, as well as voice command, used car blackbook guide programs, now i moved one 40.mb video to my sd card which made a huge difference. i think i should move voice command and adobe etc to the sd card right? i have 512 sd card.
    i dont see any recordings i made by accident.

    You basically get to control memory used for "hard disk space" vs. "RAM".

    Check in My Documents. The default name is Recording1.

    You could even do the following:
    Start -> settings -> system -> memory
    then select the "Find" link at the bottom

    Voice Command doesn't work well from the card, especially if you have a lot of contacts. Adobe is huge, so I would move that, as long as it works. (It doesn't work for me from either location).

    Do a search on the forum for how to move VC to the card.
