Disable phone and use for data only ?

I use my VZW VX6600 for data only. I use a regular phone for voice.
Right now I just turned off the ringer on the PDA.

Is it possible to disable the phone function so that it cannot receive/send any calls ?
It's annoying when a call comes in and the "Incoming Call - Answer or Ignore ?" message pops up or when it wakes up the phone when it's not in use. Then I'll need to put away the "Missed Call" and "Voice Mail" indicator which I have no use for.
I also don't want to accidentally dial out and incur any charges.

I want to disable the phone function (voice) only - I never use it. I use the PDA for data (internet) only.

Turning on 'flight mode' disables CDMA (voice and data).

    Take any non-in-ROM Executable.
    Copy it to \windows\cprog.exe.

This will "overwrite" the in-ROM cprog.exe (but won't erase it, so don't worry.)

    Soft-Reset.

Your phone will now not accept calls, nor make calls, and the status will always show an "!" ... as if there is no signal.

Fear not, 1xRTT works just fine. Enjoy at will.

To restore normal service, delete your cprog.exe and voila, the original (in-ROM) is still there. Soft reset and full functionality is restored.

    Tested. Works.

    OK, thanks. I'll try it.
