    PPC6600 and PPC6601 same connector?

Just wanted to make sure before I return the unit. I had a 6601 and had the car charger for it. My new 6600 for some reason will not power off of the car charger I had for the 6601.

The connector is the same so it should work. I've found that my ipaq adapter doesn't work on my 6600 and for some reason my car charger doesn't work either. It's strange because the charger with the ipaq adapter works fine with all my ipaqs yet the charger with my 6600 adapter doesn't work. I'll look into this more today as I'm taking a trip to Jersey and I need my charger to work.

I'm having doubts whether the PPC6601 and PPC6600 have 100% identical connectors. The reason is that when I use my PPC6601 cradle, it does not charge the PPC6600 unless the USB cable is connected to my laptop. AC charger plugged in both times.

I found out when my battery was dead after leaving thunderhawk on all night. When I used the cradle that came with the PPC6600 it started charging.

Of course, that difference could be on the cradle side only, not the phones(?).

My old PPC6601 charges my 6600 without having the usb plugged in anywhere. But none of my aftermarket connectors work.
