Thumbs up Are egrips the case for everyone else?

There have been a few scattered threads that brought up egrips in the middle of some other context. So I started this thread dedicated to egrips.

I just got mine in, $10.00. I love them.

    http://www.egrips.com/

Write Shields, Egrips, Insrance, New Golf shirts with pockets and No Case

I had carefully put a couple pieces of clear tape to hold the sliding keyboard in. I never care to use it and makes it feel more rigid. I removed the tape and put the side egrips stripe in place of the clear tape (directly over the seam between the top half and bottom half). This is where I elected to put them, you don't have to put them there to be of benifit.

One thing I liked about the H6315 what the grippy feel. The Egrips feel better than a H6315 did, a lot better.

I use egrips with mine. Both for in the pocket and they still fit when going in the case. So even if someone is a case carrier, I still advise getting egrips for those times you are simply holding it or setting it down. It is also harder for the phone to slide off of a table etc... with egrips on

    A MUST HAVE FOR EVERYONE.....imho.

I'm waiting for someone to make a rubberized case for the PPC6600. Any takers?

This will probably work but it wasn't designed specifically for the 660X, so you will have to cut some holes. It does however have a non-slip texture:

LOL. Boxwave makes Treo 650 condoms. They are ugly as hell, and they start peeling after a while.

What color matches the XV6600 the best? Black? or Carbon? I take it they only go on the back? How will the camera version be affected?

Black seems to match best in my opinion.

(Its a bit more snug fitting into the sync craddle. 'Wonder if the 2200 mAmp battery would work with these things...)

I ordered the black for fun and noticed that the material goes on the back of the battery. I plan to cut it in half to share with my spare.

That'd solve the tight fit in the sync craddle problem too. (problem/issue...)

Nice grip though. Thanks for sharing.

I bought the generic egrips from Radio Shack. Did you folks place the side grips on the black (back section) or the silver (slide) section.

In my case on both sides using the black section, the grips peal up where the case starts turning at the corner. What worked best for you?

I got black and it matches the back plastic pretty good.

I think the standard mounting is all on the black plastic.

I put mine over the seam (half and half) and the black on silver looks good.

I suppose you could mount them on the silver part. Not sure.

They are made for no camera at all, but it's not a problem. A little snip with the scissors on the side where the vertical camera thinggies are, and you are good to go.
Just switched from PPC6700 to AT&T Tilt.

With this case from Brando, thank you MattSmith for the generous and uneven exchange ; I no longer think of eGrips, or any other protective method. Check it out

Looks like a nice design for those who want to wear it on the hip.

But still way to thick for the pocket.

    Cool

I bought a 10-pack of bathtub no-slip appliqués at the 99 cent store, and cut them to make my own egrips. Too bad I can't mold plastic and make myself a clippy holster like the one I'm waiting for from Seidio.

Tony.. you using this with a 6600/6601 series? Or a GSM version that matches?

(I was wondering if the clearance for the camera spot was big enough...)

I was going to fire out an order if it was.

    Danke,
