Am I Stupid? (Please don't answer that)

I finally gave in and added the VZW PDA data plan. I am setting up the wireless sync, and have questions that I cannot get an answer to from customer service. When I sync it goes from my phone to the website, isn't it also supposed to go to my computer thatI installed the software on? I can sync just fine with the wireless synch server, and email is pushed just fine, but appointments that I make on the XV6600 never show up until I activesync when I get home. Am I missing something? I tried to search on this but came up empty handed.
    Thanks in advance!!!

Are you referring to local Outlook mail or a Domino or Exchange server?

If the latter, it will sync with your server if you have your WS redirector operational.

If the former, someone else with experience should chime in.

    The Calendar

I am asking about the calendar. I was told that it will sync your calendar as well. If not I really don't see the point of having my calendar information on VZW's server.

From the Today Screen click on the wireless sync icon -> show main screen.

click on settings -> sync settings

    Is calendar checked?

Also if you are syncing your exchange info with wireless sync, you shouldn't be syncing that same information with activesync. So on activesync I only have files and favorites. Inbox, contacts, calendar are all taken care of through WS. If you have them both you'll end up with duplicates.

    scout,

Unless you have exchange server, you can't wireless sync contacts or calendar.

i.e. If you have standalone Outlook and pop3 on a desktop, you (like me) are out of luck. (Unless somebody else tells us otherwise)
