Question Does it do Picture Messaging

I read on the Verizon Wireless site that the XV6600 with Camera has picture messaging on it. Currently I have an i700 which couldnt do this without a 3rd party app. Is this true? I'm waiting til May to get one so I can get the $100 off with the 2 year thingy..lol.

P.S. I asked a Verizon associate and they seemed they didnt know and just took a slow wild wild guess.

I have it, and I have tried sending MMS, but I don't have it enabled on my account.

THere's a lot I can get away with (because it's a company phone)but adding MMS is not one of those things

Sweet . Does it use a program or when u take a pic does it just have a send option? Also can you send any pic or just the ones taken with the camera? Thinkin about waiting for the i730 since I wont be getting the phone until May. Wonder if this will have the same feature. But anyway how does picture messaging work on a PDA/phone?

    1. Take a picture
    2. When you're at the review screen that pops up, select Tools --> Send via MMS

What happens when you get a picture message on the phone? How does that part of it work? Now that I know they can be sent out using the 6600, how is it recieved on the 6600?

    Picture Messaging

Unconfuse me. What do we do to ensure outgoing and incoming picture messaging.

I was able to send one using MMS and connecting to the internet via cdma (bluetooth / usb ) wouldnt allow the mms to go out, and the person i sent it to got it.

I also hear you can send it via outlook to #@vzwpix.com

And a copule were sent to me but i never got them.

I sent myself an MMS and got the notice but it wont download the image.

    What do you guys do?

Yes I'm paying for unlimited picture/txt.

oh, another thing - whereas phones dont charge you for MMS if you have the pics plan, withthe PDA, you are charged CALL minutes, not data. hope they have that right come my first bill!

after i got unlimited data, i was able to send mms messages as picture messages just fine. and when i get one back i get the mms message then it will connect to the internet and download the picture itself.

be nice if it could download the picture over usb/bluetooth when im connected then, or have it auto disconnect after its done making the internet call.

I have mms, unlimited data account, and IN network txt, pix, flix, and I seem to be able to send and recieve MMS with no issues.

Update - I did notice that I had to agree to something when I logged into the vzwpix.com account before things worked properly.... but now I can't remember correctly, but I have been sending and recieving just fine.
