How do I make Photo Contacts work?

I set it up earlier today, with pictures, ringtones, etc. But when I called my cell from my home phone, Voice Command 1.5 announced the incoming call, and no photo was shown. Do I have to leave Photo Contacts "open" somehow? Am I missing something?

I turned off the announce call in the VC options. Didn't have a problem after that.

Have soft reset about 20 times, thanks to the new SDIO network card I'm having trouble setting up. But good call!

Just turned off the announce feature, I'll see how that works. Thanks for the advice!!!

Download the .cab for Photo Contacts 1.2 that was posted here and install that, it will "upgrade" the existing version that shipped with our phones. Soft reset and there will be a short cut to it in the programs folder. Set the preferences and you're good to go. You do not need to leave the app running. The new version also lets you assign ringers which I also have had no issues with...

I had issues with it until I left it running all the time in the background. No more issues.

Maybe I could get it to work even while closed, but I'd rather not mess with it, it works fine now, and memory footprint is negligible. Also, I created a shortcut to it under my startup folder, so it always starts when I reset automatically.

Also make sure your ringers are on the device, not the SD card. Again, some had gotten it to work despite, but a 30 second WMA clip is less than 500Kb, so I dont mind, as long as I get stability. Matter of fact, I have ringers set in permanent storage.

Good call about keeping it running in the background ardint! I couldn't get it to show pictures until I did this. Just used the "today" button to hide it while it's running, and now pictures show up when I receive a call. Need to assign myself a ringtone and confirm custom ringtones work too, but it seems nice right now.
