Is there an easy way to organize IE favorites?

    Hello,

What is an easy way to organize IE favorites....

I know how to add / delete within the favorites when IE is up and running...
    organizing seems to be difficult.

I cannot even seem to find where on the the device the files are located (for example nothing representing my existing my favorites when searching MY device for *.htm*

    Thanks for your time
    Qu1nn.

They're in the registry. I don't know of any way to organize them, short from maybe re-organizing them from within a registry editor. Sounds like too much trouble to me though. Hopefully Ehud or someone else can tell you what key to look in... I forget.

Just look in your windows folder for a favorites folder.

I assumed he meant favorites on the device, which, if you sync them using activesync, can be found in C:\Documents and Settings\(Your user name)\Favorites\Mobile Favorites.

You can delete favorites from there, create subfolders, etc. and they should sync over next time you activesync. I'm not sure if renaming will help... it may just create a duplicate with the new name. Try it and see.

    Sure beats editing the registry.

If you sync favorites over activesync, there will be a folder called mobile favorites in the Full version of IE on your computer. You can use Full IE to organize your bookmarks. Much easier than dealing with the device.
