    SPB Pocket Plus Question

as they do not have a forum, I thought I would ask here, one of the more annoying things about this program is that the "multiple messages" icon that replaces the 1X if I have voicemail or text message gets cancelled out the second I tape on it.

Is there at all a way to get that working again?

    thanks!

It appears to be an interaction between Pocket+ and the >2.0 ROM. It bothered me so much that I actually stopped using Pocket+ and am trying to fill that void with several other programs in combination. The thing I miss the most is the Pocket+ battery meter... it's just the best.

I think your only resolution to this is to e-mail SPB about it. I have already done so, but the more people that do it, the sooner they'll prioritize that issue.

And Pocket+ isn't the only app that has that problem either. Several users here have experienced it without ever having had Pocket+ installed (the common denominator is the 2.X CE ROM).

dang....thats a shame, I did just email them, we'll see what they say.

It is a shame they do not have a support forum to really konw what is going on....

I agree on the forum thing, especially considering how many products they sell and their huge user base.

What do you use to replace Pocket+? I have the same issue with Pocket+ and the 2.0 ROM. I am aware of other products like Pocket+, but wondered what you found to be useful as a Pocket+ replacement.

SPB responded to my email this morning asking if I had any other today plugins (I don't, other than SPB weather). I'm assuming that's good news - at least they're looking at the issue. - sheureka

here is what I got from them:

Please try to find the voicemail program and add it to Pocket PC close button exceptions list. It should solve the problem

Do you have any idea where to even begin finding that? I think it's all hidden in the ROM somewhere. - sheureka

    Oh yeah, absolutely!

In the last 4 minutes since I posted that the problem hasn't appeared once.

By that do you mean you did do that, rebooted the phone, and since then you've seent he popup-that-disappears-too-quickly happen?

    ...and you're running 2.03...
...and you're not running Voice COmmand...?

XV6600 here running Pocket + 2.2 - I haven't seen this behavior. Ironically, I wish I could make my phone do that since I prefer to have a clean connection symbol (not some obscure balloon icon) to tell if I'm in 1X or EV. Is there a later version available? Otherwise, Pocketmax takes care of my other alter needs.

    Kupe,

No, believe me you don't want this problem. We still get the balloon icon, but clicking on it no longer reveals what it's hiding... so if you're trying to see if you have VM, SMS, or the 1x/EV icons you're SOL.

It's really frustrating and I'd actually stopped using Pocket+ because of it. Ehud's solution sounds intriguing though, and I'm a glutton for punishment so I guess I'll give it a shot again.

    Dan

P.S. If you never did the WMP10 ROM upgrade on your VX6600 then you won't have this problem.
