    deleting ringer

    hi there,
how do you delete a ringer that was added through the "add ring tone" app in the settings -> system menu?

just acces file explorer and look for .wav files in the \Windows or \Windows\Rings folder -then just delete it

i think you can have them in \My Documents as well (like .tsk files)

Under "file explorer" click the little "up-arrow" folder in the upper left hand corner until you can no longer go up anymore directories, and then click the "windows" folder in explorer. Inside of there should be another folder labled "Rings" Click on that, and your ringers should be listed in there. Tap and hold the stylus on the ringer you want to delete and select "delete" from the menu.
    Hope that works for you.

Interesting.... I just used the Ringer app to copy some rings over, and they show up under /windows/Rings, I have not seen it where they don't show up, but its possible. Does anyone else have an idea on the issue Michelle is having?

Yeah, they should be there. Look in \windows and see if they are just loose in the windows folder. Lastly check \my documents. The ringtones I added via Addringtone went into the windows\rings folder.

You mean the find fxn wouldn't give the source of the file? Try searching via explore option on Active Sync.

Did you ever find a solution to erasing the ringtone, because I can't do it myself.
